In my opinion, the role of community health workers in Kenya cannot be overstated. They are a vital component of the healthcare system, offering services and support that would otherwise be inaccessible to many. However, to maximize their impact, we must ensure they are properly supported and recognized. This includes providing adequate training, fair compensation, and the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively. CHWs are on the front lines of health promotion and disease prevention, and their contributions deserve our utmost support and appreciation.
