In my opinion, the journey towards professionalizing sports in Kenya requires a multifaceted approach. Addressing the challenges of funding and governance is crucial, but there also needs to be a cultural shift in how sports are perceived and valued in society. The government, private sector, and sports organizations must work together to create an environment where sports are seen not just as a pastime but as a viable career path with significant economic and social benefits.
