In my opinion, addressing nutrition is a key strategy in combating the rise of chronic diseases in Kenya. It’s not enough to treat these conditions once they arise; we need to focus on prevention through better nutrition. While healthcare systems play a role in managing chronic diseases, improving dietary habits across the population can have a far-reaching impact on public health. We must prioritize nutrition education, promote healthier eating patterns, and ensure that nutritious foods are accessible and affordable for all Kenyans.
