In my opinion, the political elite’s failure to connect with the common citizen undermines trust in the democratic process. When politicians are seen as detached or self-serving, it leads to widespread disillusionment and a sense of helplessness among the populace. This gap not only hampers effective governance but also stifles the nation’s progress by neglecting the needs of the majority.
