In my opinion, initiation rites still have a place in modern Kenya, but they must be adapted to reflect contemporary values and realities. These rites are a vital part of our cultural heritage, but for them to remain relevant, they need to evolve alongside our society. By rethinking and modernizing these practices, we can ensure that they continue to serve as meaningful milestones in the journey to adulthood.
