In my opinion, Kenya’s small businesses are being unfairly penalized by a tax system that is too complex and too demanding. If we are serious about supporting entrepreneurship and fostering economic growth, we need to rethink our approach to taxation. The government must recognize that small businesses are not just a source of revenue; they are vital engines of economic development. By creating a more supportive tax environment, we can help these businesses thrive and, in turn, strengthen the broader economy.
